Holiday Style for the 9-5

'Tis the season for Christmas music, holiday parties and all things festive! December is officially here and I could not be more excited. The hubs and I will be decorating the house this weekend and I plan on recreating a few ideas from Pinterest so hopefully it all works out :) If you have any favorite pins this Christmas season, let me know!

So let's get right into it, shall we? Work Attire. During my trip to Boston, I thought it would fun to team up with one of my favorite stores to put together a few holiday looks appropriate for the workplace. I popped into Ann Taylor (surprise, surprise) and with the help of the store manager, we came up with these AMAZING looks for you.

As soon I saw this faux leather pencil skirt, I instantly fell in love. It was so comfortable on and this cherry brown tone really gave this skirt a luxe feel. I would highly recommend this piece - so versatile and can easily transition into other seasons. A great staple to have in any closet!

You can pair this skirt with a sheer-sleeve blouse like I have above (I absolutely adored this tie-neck detail) or with any sort of chunky knit for a more cozy feel. I find pairing tights to any winter look always adds a bit of chicness, and not to mention some extra warmth! Both looks really allow you to look professional and put together, but in a way that shows others that you know what you're doing :)

I believe you can never go wrong with a shift dress and what I love about this particular one is the fringe detail that wraps around the whole dress. There's an understated look about this, but the tweed textures and fringe details really make this dress special. And if you're like me and steer away from dresses that "hug" you too much, this one will change your mind. Although it seems form-fitting, I promise this will leave you feeling comfortable and tug-free :)

And as much as I love fall fashion, there's just something about the extra sparkle that comes with winter fashion I just adore, and this pant is no exception. I mean, how CUTE is the gold detailing on these? The perfect cropped length for a clean and presentable look that will leave you feeling festive. Since the pant makes such a bold statement, be sure to keep it simple up top and with your jewelry.

For reference, I shopped most of these looks in the Petite section and my size is a 2P. One of the reasons I love Ann Taylor so much is the fit (and how cute everything is!) without going to a tailor. And although a tailor is necessary at times, the convenience of having everything fit right away is always a plus.

Alright guys, four chic holiday looks ready for the workplace or any occasion for that matter. If you enjoyed this post and want to see more style guides, be sure to let me know! Get ready for more holiday-themed posts because they're coming :)
