The Cozy Midwest.

Fall season is in full swing here in Michigan, and it feels glorious. The cooler air has been a nice break from Florida's heat wave and I'm rocking all of my favorite sweaters, including this chunky knit with its oh-so-cute front-pocket detail. Lately, I've been finding myself gravitating towards colors like this cocoa-esque hue and it's easy to see why. There's just something sophisticated about it, don't you think? :)

My sister and I took a trip to Grand Rapids' Downtown Market on Saturday morning; the swingy and slightly oversized feel of this sweater made it perfect for our casual stroll. And because this particular day felt extra brisk, I was thankful for the extra warmth that came with its turtleneck detail.

I remember the days when I used to stray away from turtlenecks, worried I couldn't pull them off. Thankfully, I got over it because they are just too cozy and chic to resist! Have you ever had those feelings about a particular trend? Let me know in the comments :)

I finished this look off with a black skinny pant and pretty much the only black ankle boots I have. I don't own a lot of black (as some of you know), but whenever I get to wear this pair, I'm always reminded how comfortable they are - not to mention how well they go with so many outfits!
