Fashion Friday : go-to-looks

Friday, November 14, 2014

Not going to lie, it's been a slightly boring week as far as blog-worthy items go. I wake up, drink coffee (a MUST if you plan on having a convo with me), hang with the puppy, take care of the hubs, brainstorm blog ideas (24/7) and REPEAT. Between that and throwing in some meals and workouts I pretty much do normal people things like everyone else :)

The hubs and I are due to move into the new house this weekend thanks to a preoccupancy agreement with the sellers, YAY! I was there yesterday for inspection reasons and I'm just so in love with the house. Things are definitely looking positive so I'm excited!

To make up for the lack of update, I bring to you FASHION FRIDAY.  My last post totally inspired me to share with you guys my current go-to look for a casual date night out:

{casual} Date Night Look

{ via Polyvore }

What's not to love about being cute AND comfy?  I wore an outfit very similar to the one shown above and it was perfect.  A sweater, boyfriend jeans, and booties...you just can't go wrong; you can wear it to the movies or a low key dinner, but it also works if you're meeting up with your bestie for a long lunch! Pair it with simple jewelry and you're good to go. The links are current so go ahead, what are you waiting for? :)

My makeup look for this outfit was pretty fresh and minimal. I plan to write another post about my go-to makeup products so look for that in the future! I did use the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil from Nars in Never Say Never to add a pop of color.

This is a work-in-progress, but I'm thinking Fashion Friday is here to stay! What do you think? Should I include pictures of me wearing the outfits? What other looks would you like me to create? Leave your comments/suggestions below and let me know!

  1. Love this look! I'd do skinny jeans instead since the slouchy, slightly boxy boyfriend look doesn't work for me :) But booties are a must. I live in them. And love that lipstick color! Perfect for fall/winter. I always love a good outfit post so bring 'em on!

  6. I am with you on the booties! And for some reason one pair just isn't enough! Then again, is it ever? ;)
