Knock, knock.
Who's there?
L'Orange who?
L'Orange you glad you got a scone today?

Okay FINE…not one of my better intros, but what I'm about to talk about here really needs no introduction. L'Orange Patisserie…sigh. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with the most delicious smell of freshly baked breads and muffins coming out of the oven. And as if that wasn't enough, I was greeted and sat by the owner who happened to be the sweetest woman I have ever met.

Now I don't consider myself a pastry connoisseur, but I know what I like, what I don't like and I thought I didn't like scones. And well, these scones at L'Orange…they were life-changing. They weren't at all heavy like the ones I've had in the past, nope, these were light and flaky and the flavors were spot on. I probably could have eaten 3 in one sitting, but let's be serious, I have a wedding to plan you guys :)

They even have cute little petite scones if you're unsure about taking on a whole one by yourself. But lucky for you, it's a judgment-free zone here at L+P :)

A lot of the restaurants here on island do offer an English menu for those looking to travel out here. Not all places will display them like this one, but if you ask, I'm pretty certain they'll grab you one. I did order a soy latte while I waited for my scone and of course the two paired perfectly together. I think it's safe to say I found my new go-to coffee spot.

Now on to my favorite part…this table. Is it just me or is having your coffee with a view the best feeling? I can always count on it to help me recharge and get my creative juices flowing. It's also a moment where you can enjoy life at a slower pace, which we all need to be reminded to do sometimes, don't you think?  I can't lie to you guys though,  I was struggling to find something to write about for this post. But before I know it, and a coffee and a scone later, I didn't have to think so hard after all. Funny how life works!

But serious question to all you bloggers out there…do you find things to write about based on what you think might be interesting to your readers or do you write based on whatever you feel like writing? Curious minds would like to know :)

Until next time...
